I'm so excited you're here!

That's one of the first things you'll notice about me - I have a lot of enthusiasm and I'm not afraid to show it. 

Some things that really get me jazzed are:

 

COLLABORATION. Ensemble devised physical theatre is my JAM. I got my MFA in it, and I have a theatre company dedicated to it, Whisper Theatre Collective. I love creating new forms of theatre, challenging hierarchical structures, and playing with others. Om nom nom nom delicious.

CHICAGO. I've lived here for over a decade, and I believe this city is one of the best places for making new art and exploring different parts of yourself, which is why I claim the following titles: performer, director, educator, deviser, people connector, world traveler, thrift shopper, recommendation giver, silly dancer, historical fiction reader, crocheter, and nonbinary person.

SHARING. When I love a book, a show, a brand, an ice cream store, or a person, you will find me sharing it with everyone I know. It's how I first got into teaching. What's more fun than getting to share and cultivate knowledge and passion about theatre? Not much, let me tell you. 

​

HOSPITALITY. This is where my South Carolina roots start showing. I love creating spaces where people feel warm, listened to, and cared for, whether I'm onstage, facilitating a class, or hosting an event. I've been told I'm good at it too, but I'm always looking for ways to improve.​
