Well-balanced dads 

The Well-Balanced Dads are two characters co-developed and performed by Richie Schiraldi and me, and they have a cabaret act and a longer show! Using partner acrobatics, dance, and a lot of cringey Dad-isms, these two navigate life after their kids have left the nest. The Dads were born from a cabaret act in Broken Planet Show, which toured for 2 years in Chicago and the 2024 Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland. In 2025, Richie and I developed the longer show with the help of the Body Passages Residency by Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble and Being Made in Chicago by Physical Theater Festival. Well-Balanced Dads (the longer show) will tour the Midwest and abroad in 2026 and 2027; the cabaret act is currently available for booking.
